Missing my Davis!

My posts have been so spread out that it takes forever for me to complete a post and they're not even that detailed!  Oh well, anyway, We've moved!  Yep, we are no longer residents of Tennessee (tear), we are now a part of Arkansas.  I never thought I would live in Arkansas and I wasn't too happy about the move either.  I've made some of the best friends in Tennessee (Nashville and Germantown) and was heartbroken when Gary took a job with Wal-Mart.  Sure it was a move in the right direction for him but for me, I wanted to stay where I loved the people and the state!  Alas, I had to give in and move (especially when we sold our house in 4 days.  I was homeless and had no choice!)  With the sale happening so quickly we had a gap in housing from the sale to the purchase of our home in Arkansas so we headed to Florida for the week...Gary had to head back to work but Davis and I hung around and did many things one being, bean picking!
I HATED picking beans as a child, but I knew my mom needed help and I knew Davis would love the chance to get dirty...

He picked about 2 beans and the rest were the leaves but he tried

Of course we added some to his bucket but every time we moved down the row he would drag his bucket and start picking the leaves. He had the right idea just the wrong item :-)

It didn't take him long to be covered in dirt and sweat

My mom took a pic of me as proof I helped...Like I said, bean picking was something I hated to do when I was younger.

We picked close to three buckets and then it was time to wash them.  Davis needed to play on the tractor while waiting

He noticed there was a water hose and water involved in "washing" so he was in the mix of it all...

No doubt he was splashing that water everywhere...look at the speed on those hands!

He was a very helpful boy that morning...and a dirty one!

While bean picking was an adventure for us all, he played with his cousins, aunts & uncles, grandparents and granny (great grandmother).  He was so busy loving everyone that I decided (with MUCH hesitation) to leave him while we unpack our house. He hasn't skipped a beat either...

He would swing every chance he got

He quickly became obsessed with his cousin Bryn.  She was and is his favorite person

He let Emery play with the iPad - but not too long though.

His cousin Alli would play with his a lot as well...they did lots of dancing, swinging and playing in the water together.

Of course he ate many a popsicle and fudgesicle

Water is his other obsession...where there's water, so is Davis

He made his cousins sit on the trampoline while he ran around them like a crazy person!

Then Bryn (his favorite) started jumping WITH him and that was a whole new ballgame for him!

He graciously tore apart Addi and Alli's octopus sprinkler...

Had snack time as often as they would allow

Yep, snack time...taking a bite of Alli's ice cream

He hung out in nursery at church but not without a familiar face

He gave his Granny (almost 97) lots of hugs and "sugars"

Attacked his cousin Hudson

Hung out with his cousin Carson

Went to Addi's birthday party

Played at Eloise and Emery's house (he loves that elephant)

Had a tea party with Eloise and Bryn

And loved on his Mema

But it has been a LONG 2 weeks and I'm ready for my little guy to be home!  I know he had such a great time and I was able to somewhat put my house together however...I miss my little terror.  He'll be home in just a few short hours!

Things Davis LOVES

Our little guy is growing up so fast and it's times like these I need to remember the things he loves the most!

Playing on the stairs...he loves to sit and throw his balls down the stairs and me stand at the bottom and throw them back up...after about 10 times I'm so done but he's just getting started!

FOOD (and drink)  He rarely passes up a chance to eat or drink (even if it isn't his).  I guess that's why he is off the charts on his weight!  Thankfully he is off the charts on his height as well.  But in the meantime, his 18mo and weighing in at 35lbs!

I know a majority, if not all the pictures show him eating "bad" foods but he LOVES bananas, pears, strawberries, apples, grapes, yogurt, green beans and many other unhealthy items.

He loves to hop in my lap when I try and work (rare for me to get much work done when he is awake) and watch Despicable Me on the Mac.  He will watch almost the entire show.

Moping is something he asks to do MULTIPLE times a day.  When I tell him no, it is pure devastation for this little guy.  Needless to say he generally mops a few times a day.

LOVES to swing...he could swing all day if I'd let him

Loves ducks

Loves sunglasses

Loves a bottle...unfortunately he gets them more often then he needs.  I cut him off at one year and slowly allowed him one here and there and now, he requests one daily

Loves to rake

Loves to iron...he's never seen me iron so not sure why he loves it.  No worries, it's not plugged in

Loves that purple/pink necklace!

 Loves popsicles!

 Loves medicine...weirdo

Loves going on "walks" in his stroller

 Loves the Ipad

LOVES water and making a mess...

LOVES being outside and he LOVES his Daddy

Love these two guys!
