Davis loves his Daddy~

Gary was out mowing the lawn and Davis saw him out back and was trying to climb the wall to see him again.  The next day Gary was mowing the front and where is Davis...? Standing at the window.  So sweet...

Davis' first hair cut

I know the unspoken rule is to wait until they are a year old for a hair cut, but his hair (the little bit that he has) is out of control.  My girlfriend cuts hair so we set him up outside and she used clipper and he just sat there.  He did want to look when she would turn on the clipper but he did great!  He's such a big boy!  Thanks Christine!

He only had one nap today and was in need of another which is why he looks a little out of it :-)  After the cut, he got down and played with the dog and Christine's little girl Vana.  He had a good "first hair cut" experience.

What Davis is up to these days -

Just a few quick pics of what Davis does to occupy his (and my) time...
This is his little "perch".  He sits perfectly on it

Tearing Daddy's book

"Helping" with the dishes

We voted and went for ice cream...yep, he loved it

Picture time with Momma!

Being a silly boy
He's got the remote and trying to change the channel

Looking at his books

Showing me his top teeth

Such a cutie!  The "owie" on his nose...from the toilet seat, decided to see what was in there and dipped his head and let the seat go.  Sad day but hasn't stopped him from trying again

Trying to make me laugh...and he does.

Photo shoot in the yard (don't mind the water hose in the background)

Book time again

I tried to get him to look at his new cousin Emery but he wanted to play with is diapers...so rude!

Helping with the wrapping paper for Daddy's Birthday gift

He LOVES pulling everything out from under the sink...I let him so I can get ready

Wants to go outside, but it's just too dang hot out here!!

Loves riding on Daddy's shoulders...
We love our Davis so much!!  Even when he won't take his naps (as he needs) and fights so hard when it's time to go to sleep, destroys my house on a regular basis, and makes it difficult for me to get any work (house and office) done - he's still our little guy and we would be lost without him!

I'm 10 months old

Davis is officially 10 months old!  It's crazy to think he is so close to being a year old...He is learning so much and getting into so much!  He loves to make you laugh and will repeat anything you have previously laughed at.  He's my little ham!  We went to the doctor today for his check up and he has continued to stay at the top of or above the charts...

Weighing 25.08 lbs
Height 31.50 in

Happy 10 Months Davis!

He is now a walking machine...still not the very best but prefers walking over crawling and walks 90% of the time...he's such a big boy!!  We love this guy!

California Trip

Gary was playing around looking at flights one night and we happen to find a flight from Memphis (so expensive to fly out of here) to San Francisco (where his parents are) for $270 round trip.  That is crazy cheap from here so we booked it!  Only problem, Gary wasn't able to come along.  I stressed about flying with my "always on the go" 9 1/2 mo old up until we made it BACK to Tennessee :-).  The flights out there were a little difficult as he wanted to kick the seat in front of him, or grab their hair, or look out the window then decide to sit with the girl next to me.  Luckily for me, the girls on my row were beyond friendly - we survived.  Once we made it to California I gladly handed him over to his Grandma who welcomed him with open arms! :-)

He had a blast in California!  He swam, played with the dogs, went on walks and helped Grandma "drive" the car.  I'm so glad I was able to head out there to spend time with Gary's parents and brother Scott.  Since they live so far away we don't get to see them as often, which is hard but Davis didn't skip a beat.  I did enjoy a massage and a little Nordstrom shopping :-)
Taking a snooze in the airport after the long flight to CA

Grandma got the toys out for him to play...

But, he preferred to bang on the computer!

Definitely not afraid of dogs

pool time

This guy just loves the water

Grandma dunked him and he's still smiling

He wasn't crazy about the float because he thinks he can swim on his own

Having fun at Skipolini's

Laughing at Grandma

He's got mad driving skills!

Outside the Oakland Temple

This kid will eat anything!

Slept the whole way home on the airplane
I didn't have one picture of Grandpa and I'm not sure why but he got some Davis time in as well.  We will see you guys in Florida for Christmas...just a few months away!  Love you!
