In Memory of Tre Snow Leuluai

One of my very best friends, Kayli and her husband Lorenzo, was blessed with a beautiful little boy a year ago today named Tre Snow Leuluai.  Although he needed to return home to his father in heaven much sooner than his family had planned, he made a huge impact on everyone who heard his name!  In memory of Tre, Kayli asked that people release balloons and we wanted to share in the celebration of him!  We love you Tre - Happy Birthday little guy!

Playdate

Davis was invited to a playdate/birthday celebration for a friend, Giuliana, who had just turned ONE!  He had such a fun time playing with all the toys and other kids.  Well, he mostly used the other kids as a pull up bar or tried to take their toys but he had a great time and I was able to get some adult time in too!  Happy Birthday to Sweet Little Giuliana!

I'm sure this is an attack stance

He loved the kid house

He made his way inside :-)

And he made a friend - Clarke

He had so much fun!!

Battery scare

Awhile back a friend posted on facebook about the dangers of batteries.  How children can consume them and the damage it can cause.  Especially if you don't know that they have swallowed the battery and the child is too small to communicate to you want happened.  I say this because I have a little reading light that Davis had gotten a hold of and I happen to look down and notice him putting something in his mouth.  I knew there wasn't any food on the floor so I bent down and pulled out a battery.  The back of the light had come off and he had put it in his mouth.  The panic that ran through me was the worst feeling!  Luckily I found all three batteries but, had I not noticed him put something in his mouth he could have swallowed it and I wouldn't have known what was wrong with him...I'm sure all you moms out there are superstars and wouldn't let your kid near something like that but I failed.  Thankfully I had the urge to look down at him and change the events that could have taken place.  I'm so glad I read the story and understood the huge danger my baby was in.  Thanks Kelsi.  Click to read the Story.

What Davis is into these days...

As you can tell by any of my posts, this boy is very busy.  It is rare for him to sit and play with something.  He generally has to be furniture walking, crawling and pulling up on something or pushing around his toy walker.  He never stops!  He also thinks he can eat anything we do...needless to say, I should start losing weight here since half of my meals go to him :).  Here's a glimpse into Davis' world.
He goes crazy for Daddy's vanilla yogurt

I had to take this off the springs because he would want to hold onto it rather than be in it...now he wants in it, go figure.

This is what I get when I change his diaper.  He tries his best to get away and sometimes he succeeds...

yeah, busted!

Don't set him too close to the drawers...

He loves to get on the scale...wish I felt the same!

He loves to go into all the bathrooms...yep, he's pulling the toilet paper

And down he goes...but no tears, just back up to pulling on the paper

He wants to be a part of everything you do, especially if it involves food :-)

He's eating a Papa Johns breadstick - I agree, they are delicious!

And pizza crust

Uncle Randy got us this around Thanksgiving and I thought he might fit into it now.  The pants are a little long but it fits...hahaha he wanted to get away from me!

Fake crying

and it continues

finally he breaks free

and found his passy on the way

He loves this book "Just Like My Daddy" and prefers to have it on this page...I wonder what he is thinking...

He attacks his frog and bear daily

And loves it!!

He loves to pull up on this and it's not the most stable structure for a 25lb to use as a pull up bar but he does succeed...

But not today

This is another favorite book of Davis'...waiting patiently for moms grits at Waffle House

Out this door is his swing...he always wants to swing.  Regardless of the weather

Tip toes might help his see the swing...he's looking the wrong way though.

The only way I can get ready with him...let him play with the blow dryer and anything else in the cabinet

He's tall enough to reach the blinds in the bonus room.  All he can see is the sky from this view but he generally just swings the blinds like a crazy man!  I usually pull them up - one day he is going to pull them down.

We were downstairs one night and he was playing with a few toys and I decided to video him...well I started to watch TV and not watch the recording I was doing of him and this is what happened...

He makes us laugh on a regular bases and is such a tough little guy!  He's getting faster on his hands and knees and walking around the furniture with ease.  I can't believe this is my baby!  He amazes me every day and we would be lost without him.  Love you Davis!
