A little of Davis

It's amazing how much this guy has grown!  We just love him to pieces! And sometimes (well all the time) I smother him in "sugars" (kisses) but he doesn't seem to mind...yet.

Today is a proud day for me...I have been laying Davis down in his crib for naps but he lasts about 40 minutes each time and then inevitably falls back to sleep on my chest for the remaining 2 hours...so I don't get much done.  Well today, he napped in his crib for 2 1/2 hours!  He is becoming such a big boy!

 

He's also becoming quite the talker...The video isn't very clear but Davis is talking away to Gary...he's such a cute baby!

Our little guy LOVES bath time and just sits there letting the water run on his legs...he's all smiles when I wrap him in his towel UNTIL I pull out my phone and then he stops smiling and just stares at it.

                             

We can't believe how lucky we are to have such a great little guy!  We love you Davis!

Christmas!

Like I said we decided to head to Florida early this year.  We had the time and decided to take advantage of it!  It was so nice being with family and to have everyone meet Davis.  This was the first time we met (my brother) Matt and Aubrey's little girl Alivia.  She is so stinking tiny and such a sweet little girl!  I'm so glad we finally were able to meet her!  She is almost 6 months old (Davis being only 7 weeks old) and was just a little longer than Davis.  He was by far bigger than her in weight!  Our little guy is a TANK (as Gary says) but we wouldn't take him any other way!

Davis got so much attention from everyone!  Bryn was a great cousin and always wanted to hold him, and did such a great job with him.  

Granny got some good quality time with Davis too.  She's pretty strong if she is able to hold him...at 95 she's doing pretty good!

My Mom took him at night a majority of the time we were there...that was SO kind of her to do that but he started sleeping about 6 hours at night.  Mema just has the magic touch I guess :-)

One night we were at Granny's house and Davis decided he wasn't happy and just cried and cried.  So we went to my moms to give him a bath and I needed to get his stuff together...well my dad said he would hold him.  When I came back in the living room this is what I found.  I need my mom and dad to move in with us! :-)

 He was just a happy baby a majority of the time...just a few moments of distress but we survived!

Christmas morning we went out to see what gifts Santa left us and low and behold Davis got gifts from Santa!  He was a good boy this year...

We love spending time with our family and are grateful for the times we are able to be with them.  We wish we could see them more often but will take what we can get.  

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and were able to remember the true meaning.

Christmas Eve

Every Christmas Eve we have a little party at my sister Staci's house.  We eat lots of yummy finger foods and then read the story of Christ's birth or watch a video about Christ.  We also do a gift exchange - these are gifts we make for each other.  I absolutely love Christmas and this is one of the things I love about it!

Alli & Addison received puppets for their made gifts and they absolutely loved them!

Keaton's Birthday Party

So my nephew Keaton's birthday is Dec 21st and this year all his aunts & uncles and cousins (except for Anna & Glen) were there to help him celebrate!  My Mom and my sister, Lucretia did a "winter wonderland" theme.  The kids had a race eating marshmellows...

After they had their marshmellow-eating-relay-race, they went to throw "snowballs"! (aka marshmellows).  The kids had a blast throwing them at each other!  It was really fun to watch them enjoying it so much!
