Keaton's Birthday Party

So my nephew Keaton's birthday is Dec 21st and this year all his aunts & uncles and cousins (except for Anna & Glen) were there to help him celebrate! My Mom and my sister, Lucretia did a "winter wonderland" theme. The kids had a race eating marshmellows...

Aubrey even gave Alivia a shot at eating the marshmellows!

After they had their marshmellow-eating-relay-race, they went to throw "snowballs"! (aka marshmellows). The kids had a blast throwing them at each other! It was really fun to watch them enjoying it so much!

This was such a funny picture to me, Alli was so excited and having such a great time...I captured this "crazy" look on her face. She was giggling and dancing around!

After the snowball fight we went inside and my mom had cut out snowflakes and hung them in my Granny's living room...

They made him a cake in the shape of a snowman, and I thought they did a great job! All in all I think Keaton had a great birthday party! Happy Birthday Keaton, We Love You!

Packing for Florida

We decided to head to Florida a little early (3 weeks) and since Davis is such a chunk, I was afraid he wouldn't be able to wear some of the things he has so I took a few pics...The reindeer one, I don't think he was diggin' :-)

Davis is 1 month old!!

So this post is a little late as he is two months old tomorrow! I can't believe how time flies! Our little guy is getting so big (He was big to begin with but is getting bigger)! His stats are:

Weight: 11 lbs 9 oz
Height: 23.5 inches

He is still sitting in the 95 percentile in all (even his head) but at least he is proportioned :-)
At this stage, he still was only sleeping about 2.5 hrs at a time at night (which I wasn't fond of) but it's a good thing he's so cute! :0)

Davis' Blessing

Gary's entire family was able to make it out to our house for Thanksgiving this year and while they were all here we decided to bless Davis. Walt and Rachel decided to bless Bart as well so needless to say Grandma and Grandpa were very excited to take part in such a sweet moment for both boys.
We worked it out with the bishop to bless them in our home so Friday after Thanksgiving we blessed the boys. They were both given such sweet blessings and I'm so glad we were able to do it with everyone there.

We had such a great week with everyone here...It was a little bittersweet when they all left...but we will see them again soon!

Welcome to our world ~DAVIS THOMAS OLSEN~ 8lbs 14.8oz 22.5in.

He is finally here! I was due on October 29th but always said he wouldn't be here until November 4th and that's when he arrived! I was scheduled to be induced at 4am on the 4th and my doctor said if I was any bit late they would take me off the list. So you can bet we were there on time and ready to go!
They set me up on the pitocin around 5:30am and I started feeling the uncomfortableness of "mild" contractions (seeing I was still only dilated 1.5cm) and 30 minutes later I had the epidural. Yep wasn't feeling much after that :-). My Dr came in around 8:30am and broke my water and I was pretty much in and out of sleep the rest of the day until it was time to start pushing around 6pm. I'm very grateful for the epidural because I wouldn't want to feel all that pain for those 12 hours!
I'll spare you the details but when time came to push my epidural bag was empty and I felt every bit of the birth...that was honestly my least favorite part and for those who were in the room with me saw the "crazy" side of me. It wasn't pretty. But at 8:12pm a beautiful little boy came into our world weighing 8lbs 14.8oz and 22.5 in long. We couldn't feel more blessed! He is such a wonderful little boy...

I was lucky enough to have (Gary obviously) my parents in town for the birth as well as my sister Anna and my 2 nieces Alli and Eloise. My very best friend Dana and Jeff and Grant were also able to make it to meet Davis. I wish Gary's parents could have been there as well but they will be here this weekend to finally meet him!

My Mom was such a help while she was in town. She took Davis every night she was here so I could get some sleep. Now that she is gone I'm really missing her! :-) I'm so grateful for her and all she did for us while she was here. Thanks Mom!

Eloise was so sweet with Davis. She is only 11 months old but she loved being around him!

Uncle Matt and Aunt Aubrey sent him this Glow Seahorse which also plays music.

This past weekend Chris and Chantelle came out with the girls so they could meet Davis. I was horrible and didn't take one pic of the girls with Davis but we did get some of them at the park :-). We loved having them out here and wish they could have stayed longer. Good thing they only live in Nashville and we can see them often.
