Christmas Time

Oh we love the holidays, especially CHRISTMAS!  Last year, Davis was close to 2 mo old and didn't know what was going on around him...this year he was a little more into it, next year he will LOVE it.

We made a quick trip to Nashville for the weekend to see The Harper's and The Duncan's, and Saturday The Duncan's had a breakfast with Santa set up so we joined them and snapped a few pics.  Davis wasn't a big fan of Santa...don't you know that's where your gifts come from!!

Katie, Brooklyn and Lauren Duncan

He was better with Mom and Dad there

One day Davis, you will want girls to swoon all over you!

It's hard being loved :-)
After his traumatic experience with Santa, we went and hung out with Dana and her crew...at times he wishes he were still a tiny baby...

Looking at the lobsters with Dana

Sweet little Preston - I didn't get a pic of Grant :-(

The next weekend, me and Davis headed to my parents house in Florida to see my brother and his family.  We don't get to see them much since they are so far away and since we were spending Christmas with the Olsen side, we took a quick side trip to visit.
Dancing in the kitchen with Alli and Eloise

Bath Time with Alli, Eloise and Emery

If you offer him food or drink he will be your best friend...drinking with Uncle Will

Of course you always stop playing to watch Mickey Mouse...With Alivia

Keaton's birthday is on the 21st so we celebrated his birthday!

Alivia and Davis took time out of their busy runnings to play us a LOVELY duet...

Is it over yet guys??
After their "piano time" they took a break to watch Despicable Me on the Ipad with Uncle Matt

Next day, Aunt Aubrey had movie duty with Eloise, Davis and Alivia

a little cousin play time
So glad we were able to see Matt, Aubrey and Alivia for a few days...love and miss them.

NOW - we are off to the panhandle of Florida in a town called Navarre.  We spent Christmas with The Olsen's in Navarre, FL.  I caught some awful bug (could have been the flu) and was sick the entire time I was there but Davis was able to play with his cousins and Gary was able to get some sibling time in (no doubt a few rounds of golf :-)).  Brenda works really hard to make Christmas fun and she does a great job!  We always love seeing everyone!

We had an ugly christmas sweater contest...neither of us won and I thought ours were pretty ugly

Christmas Morning...waiting to see what Santa brought (Emma, Davis, Rebecca, Bart, Dani, Melody and Alora)

He got a beanie and that's a car in his hand...
Someone just woke up

Uncle Randy had food...guess where Davis ended up...yep, on his lap :-)

Santa and Grandma & Grandpa were very kind to Davis - THANK YOU!

Such a happy boy! Who couldn't love that smile!

Family Pic time...all the grand-babies with Grandma & Grandpa

And just the boys

Christmas was filled with lots of traveling, a little sickness, lots of gifts and lots of family...We wouldn't have it any other way.  Merry Christmas

-Thanksgiving Time-

Living so close to family has allowed us to celebrate holidays together, one being Thanksgiving.  We drove down to Florida and while we were there we also celebrated Eloise's 2nd Birthday!  The pictures speak for themselves but Davis gets to do pretty much whatever he wants and he loves it!!

My little Indian - coming home from Mother's Day Out

Poor Granny - all he wanted was her cane.  He would try and take it from her when she would walk. I was certain he was gonna knock her down, but he didn't.

Thanksgiving Day on the tractor at Aunt Pat's with Bryn

he was lovin' the jeep!

And wouldn't sit down...he loves to live on the edge :-)

We made him a crown for Eloise's "Princess" birthday party.  He was Prince Davis!

Who knows what he is doing...

Mom and Anna made Eloise's princess cake

While we were in Florida, Gary and I took an overnight trip to Atlanta to see my girlfriend Rebecca D McBee Sikes and Martina McBride (of Course).  My parents kept Davis for us and we went to Martina's Christmas Concert...Gary got us fantastic seats! and since we were in town we grabbed a bite with my girlfriend, Rebecca...Wish we lived closer - miss that girl!  We had a great time in Atlanta.

My highlight of the trip was seeing my friend and Martina, Gary's was eating at Chuys! :-)  Worked out great for both of us!

Davis Turned ONE! (in November)

I am so behind in my blogging...I told myself, when i took pictures of things I wanted to post that I would post that day and well, here we are 3 months later and I still have LOTS to post!  Here we go...

My little guy turned One on November 4th and I had to celebrate him!  Although he didn't know much of what was going on, everyone who loves him came out to celebrate :-).  I was lucky enough to have my parents and two of my sisters come out to help me.  Those of you who know me know I lack in the executing of ideas...I can think of some fun cute things but having it come together - well doesn't work so well.  THANKFULLY my mom and sisters are a bit better at that then I am.

The decorations were made with love in Florida by my Mom, sisters and brother in law...and I ordered the cakes!  Speaking of cake...Davis had his very own cupcake and basically licked his tray clean - he loves sweets like his Mamma!  Anyway, here are some pics of our fun day...Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!

My bro-in-law Bobby made the goal post

His own personal cupcake...

He'll never go back...once you've had the sweet taste of sugar...

Davis is trying to figure out the game I think...

He wore his megaphone like a purse the whole day...

Kallie helping him stay our of the bushes - thank you Kallie

Eloise and Davis...balloon stand off? Good possibility
I did a sports theme since Davis wasn't really into anything in particular.  We painted a little football field on the grass and I hung large baseball cards (that my sister in law Aubrey created) with Davis' monthly pictures from newborn to 12 mo.  We also had popcorn, nachos and cheese, cotton candy and megaphones for the kids to decorate and take as their party favor.  So many people came out for his party - We have such wonderful friends and family!   Now I need to start planning next years party...:-)
